Morning Musume 6ºgen

The 6th generation of Morning Musume joined the group on January 19, 2003 as four members: Fujimoto Miki, Eri Kamei, Sayumi and Tanaka Reina Michishige.
 
Miki Fujimoto was already part of Hello Project previous to her entry into the group, she was among the finalists of the fourth generation but finally she wasn´t selected as a member of Morning Musume more but she was given the opportunity to become a solo artist within H!P.

Reina Tanaka is the only one who has auditioned twice to get into Morning Musume. She passed the audition of the 5th generation but she had to leave the camp because it was discovered that she didn´t reach the age limit what was set, so she tried again at the next hearing and passed, thereby becoming a member of the 6th generation.

The first Morning Musume single in which they participated was Shabondama. This single was released on July 30, 2003. They made their first appearance at  Kei Yasuda's concert graduation but they didn´t participate fully in this. In 2003, Morning Musumewas split into two units: Morning Musume Otome Gumi  in which participated Miki Fujimoto, Sayumi and Tanaka Reina Michishige Morning Musume Sakura Gumi and in which participated Eri Kamei.

On May 6, 2007 with the exit of Hitomi Yoshizawa, Miki Fujimoto became leader of the group, the first of the 6th generation to occupy this position. Although it was for a short time because she refused to be part of the group on June 1, because of a celebrity magazine announced that she had a relationship with comedian Tomoharu Shoji.

On August 8, 2010 Kamei Eri and Junjun Linlin together, part of the 8th generation, announced their graduationfrom Morning by the end of the year, in the case of Eri due to a skin disease. They finally graduated on December 15, 2010.

After Niigaki Risa´s graduation  in the spring of 2012 Michishige Sayumi became the second leader of the sixth generation, a position which she still has today.
 
It was also announced on 18 November of that year would graduate Reina Tanaka and from the group and from Hello Project at the end of spring 2013 tour. The reason for her graduation was so that she could focus on hes career in a band. They know the components of this band, but It hasn´t yet decided the name.
